This concept still exists but might look different. Roadside markets. Coffee shops. Even a few rest areas.
It's easier to describe usual & accustomed areas in terms of time. Maybe its only 3 hours away, or an overnight drive. If Tribal folks understand anything, its resilience. Find the route with less construction. Maybe the closest airport if available. And you're almost there.
